Tempest snorted, smiling a little.
Tempest: I graduated MIT when I was 11... if that means anything. If you want some help with fabricating the required parts, stick around for a while. I have no idea when I'm going to finish the Airship, but side projects never hurt.
Tempest glanced to his work so far. He had only been here for 2 days, and was already this far. He only had 150 more small brackets to go, and then all the wires to run, and then the 12 large brackets, and then, if all that wasn't enough, the Keystone Bracket. He guessed a year to get it all done.
Tempest: Machines, systems, programing... I almost reporgramed a WEAPON a few months ago, but the damn thing was ruined before i could finish... I do have this to show for it, though.
Tempest reached into his large belt pouch, and produced a crystaline glass sphere of red with black spots. It was barely two inches wide.
Tempest: Know what this is?
~~~
Sylvia grinned, nodding and shaking her head at the same time.
Sylvia: Long time. Where have you been? I missed you stoping by Half-Hill. It was a lot more fun when you were around.
Mael jumps up in excitement upon hearing "WEAPON".
MAEL: "A WEAPON?! I can fix it!!!"
Mael points to the glass sphere in Tempest's hand.
MAEL: "It's not glass, and it's no crystal. What you are holding, Tempest, is the core of the WEAPON. That's the AI. Weird, huh? The people who made these WEAPONs had good technology, but most of it was lost during the 1,000 year war. That thing is actually made of a type of alloy......"
Mael stops for a moment, and thinks to himself.
MAEL: "Hey, I wanna fix that WEAPON. And trust me, where I come from nothing is beyond repair. I want your help to fix it, too. Imagine how easy life would be to have a WEAPON around? It could do chores, and if you disable the limiter, it can even give you advice on mechanics! We use them frequently in the future. But they're not called WEAPON anymore.... in my time they're just 'W-Unit'. Wanna fix it with me?"
Tempest smiles. But then motions to the parts.
Tempest: Sorry to dissapoint, but I needed parts, and it was the only thing available. I did my best to only take what I needed....
He motioned to the large mass of wires and parts that still was connected that was also still on teh huge cart. It was missing all the metal plates that would normaly cover it. The plates where set off to the side.
Tempest: You could try, though.
He looked the AI sphere over, holding it gently between three fingers.
Tempest:(muttering) Just think... intelligent people did walk this world years ago. What happened that changed it back to a dark age?
Temepst: Say, Mael, does your furture say anything about an airship back in this time?
~~~
Sylvia shrugged.
Sylvia: Sounds like you need some decent food and some good 'human' contact. Come on, Tempest and I are in town for the Airship. If you're done, we can get going.

Mael laughs upon the mention of missing parts.
MAEL: "Hah hah! That's no problem at all! I know where the caché is! We fouond if about 5 years ago in my time.... It's somewhere in Hikawa, the fire river."
He begins to think.
MAEL: "Actually, yes, there are Airships from around this time. Most of them were steam-powered though, but one of 'em used rocks to fly. I think the scientists called it 'Transilience', because for the time, is was a breakthrough. The design was actually continued for about 300 years until a new engine was designed. But the Transilience is on display at a museum."
Mael continues his rant, now responding to the muttered rhetorical question of Tempest.
MAEL: "Oh? The technological people from before.... yeh, they were wiped out. They kept reproducing like they were supposed too, but because of the 1,000 year war, they didn't have much chance to pass on their technology..."

Temepst thinks about what Mael said over for a few minutes. Does that mean he doesn't complete this ship, or that it got distroyed, or... what? Does he return to his world and time with it? He tries to ignore that idea.
Tempest: Well... I know what we can do then. If you can get it working, then I wont use anything more from it. If not, then I'll fund a quick expidition to Hikawa to retrieve whatever parts are needed. In the mean time, I've been meaning to speak with some of the smiths around here. I think I have perfected the design for the brackets, and once I speak with a few smiths, perhaps I can get them to build them.
Tempest grabbed a sheet of paper and started doing a sketch of the bracket and made notes as to what he needed done with them. He would have Sylvia translate it later, when she got back with good news. He needed a ship now to start planing the exact number of brackets he needed to get it floating. The larger brackets he would have to oversea, and the keystone racket he would have to watch to make sure that was done correctly.
Tempest: Mael... sorry to be questioning you so much about the future, but... how does the history books define what is happening here and now?
~~~
Sylvia: Always. For the past month, that is all he has been working on. He also has Half-Hill set up as... what did he calle it, a docking station? It has been airship this, and airship that, I wish he would just take a BREAK!
Sylvia took a deep breath, shaking her head.
Sylvia: But yeah... we are in town... come on! He got a big barn to house in, and we have the WEAPON there... though it is more a pile of scrap metal.
Mael ponders the history books for a moment, trying to recall them.
MAEL: "Well, this has been called the Opression Era, in the history books, because of the current Daiou, Ryuusei Amidamaru. It wouldn't be right of me to reveal how things turn out, but don't worry about things too much with Ryuusei. You'll find out Ryuusei isn't...TOO bad..."
He begins to think again, on the blacksmithing dilema.
MAEL: "Hm.. Sanosuke told me about a blacksmith that used to be in Mishima before it was destroyed.... uh....Tenju was his name... perhaps he could assist you. I heard he was staying in Lore now."
Mael picks up a wrench.
MAEL: "We-ell... lemme get crackin' on this WEAPON here....."
Mael begins to work on the ruined WEAPON.
((OOC: Don't you mean Sylvia?))
Tempest nods, finishing up the sketch. He folded his wings back, and ran a hand through his hair. This could work... There just had to be a few pieces now that needed to be found, and then he could get it working. And with a Weapon at his command...
Tempest: Mael, I think to comply with the new laws and crap, If possible, remove the weapons from the W-unit. Don't want the thing to be taken away now.
~~~
Sylvia grabbs his arm and starts tugging him along.
Sylvia: Why do you have a score to settle? You jacket isn't shreded... and the thing isn't even active. It is completly usless, except as spare parts.

Mael turns the wrench a few more times before lifting his now smudged face from the hull of the WEAPON.
MAEL: "Take 'em off? Hm...well, ok then."
Mael lowers himself and continues working on the machine. Eventually he makes a request.
MAEL: "......I need parts. I need an Ionic Core, a surge moderator, a split circuit, and a 3" bolt....do you have any of them handy? ...or do we need to find them?"

Tempest walked over to where Mael was working, seeing he was messing around in the hole that Mash had made to stop the robot. He pointed to a few spots.
Tempest: Lemme guess, Ionic Core went here? Sad to say, I think some of them might have been destroyed when Mash attacked it just as I was reporgraming.
~~~
Sylvia giggled, and lead him to the barn/warehouse, where a woodcrafter had put a little toy boat floating on wooden clouds above the side door. A small yellow painted bolt of lighting was coming from the clouds.
Sylvia: Like the sign? I think the guy was really creative when he made it. but was a little over ambicious with the lightning. I think it's cute.
Mael twists around and examines other damaged areas of the WEAPON.
MAEL: "Yeh... but if you don't have it we can make another one no problem. Hm... you might learn a thing or two from me, y'know. Not to sound arrogant or anything."
He pulls out his Beam Saber and adjusts the blade to solder a few wires to the boards, then uses the weapon to increase the size of a nut.
MAEL: "Lemme know if you need help on that airship."
