Just after the fall of Mephisto from Nirvana, 2 weapons were forged on either side of the realm. The first sword was forged by the ArchAngel Crissaegrim, and named as such. The second sword was forged shortly after in an attempt to counter the Crissaegrim. This sword was forged by the Fallen Angel, Halgrim, also Crissaegrim's brother. After a few years progressed, Halgrim brought his blade before a human who's soul was black, and who's heart was burning with hatred. Halgrim spoke to him and said "Take up this sword, and with it you shall slay Crissaegrim, and shatter his blade." The human took that sword, not knowing the name of his employer, and sought after Crissaegrim. He began to battle the ArchAngel, but was quickly defeated. Crissaegrim told him why, "You are but a human, Mash. You couldn't hope to weild that sword against mine. It was ill-forged. Only a demon may brandish that weapon," then Crissaegrim dealt the final blow, sending the human to Oblivion. The Halgrim was lost with that human. Later, the demon Halgrim forged a second blade, and named it after the father of Halgrim and Crissaegrim. His name was Tolgrim. And so the sword Tolgrim was forged, and then it was cursed. "Whosoever shall weild this blade, be they human, shall succumb to their darkness and become as though they were demon." And so the demon blacksmith found another human host for his new weapon, and sent him after Crissaegrim, saying, "Take up this sword, and with it you shall slay Crissaegrim, and shatter his blade." And so it came to pass that this human fell quickly, and the Tolgrim was sealed away by the ArchAngel in a living tower, which he called Genzon-Tô. Soon to follow were the events leading up to the sealing of the Crissaegrim. The human who weilded the Halgrim against Crissaegrim returned to life as a demon nearly 4,000 years later, bearing no recollection of his past life. His name was Mash.
