Your character must be approved to RP in the forums. To get him/her approved, you will need to follow the registration form that has been provided. You may not make custom elements or allignments. Also, while posting, you must follow these guidlines while in the RP zones:
Sub-Rule: The Character Limit is 4. You may possess only 4 characters. In order to use a new character if you have maxed your character roster, you must remove one of them from the RP whether through death, NPC-modification, or what have you.
If you choose to modify an existing character into an NPC, I will do so. And if you decide to reclaim that NPC, I will allow it as well, so long that you have opened a slot in your 4 character limit to accomodate it.
1. When entering a new quest or location, make an introductory post. You have to introduce yourself, and not just "pop up". An introductory post should be at least 6 lines long, but there is not limit to your introductory post. It should include all of the following:
A. How you entered the scene.
B. A thorough description of your surroundings.
C. A brief description of your appearence, which should be effected by the surroundings. Ex: Vegeta stood on the beaten, worn path. The moon was shining through the tops of the trees, and a slight breeze was blowing. His shirt was ruffling slightly with the wind, and his hair was being blown gently about his face. The moonlight lit his face up enough to be able to identify him if you knew him.
D. ((Only for quests)) Your purpose. In a quest, you shouldn't just show up for nothing. You should have some reason to be there, weather it is helping out with a person, or some personal history problem.
2. When posting in a quest or location, every post after your introductory post should be at least 3 lines long. However, try not to drag your information out, making it redundant, because this will make people aggravated at the excessive amount of reading they have to do. Put all the details, but don't put things irrelevant to the storyline.
3. Weapons are hardly limited, but because this is a pseudo-medieval time period, firearms are not allowed.
4. If you have a conflict with a member on the board, don't flame. Flaming is strictly prohibited on this entire site, and we try and keep a peaceful environment. If you must settle it, make a thread in the Grand Arena and you can have a battle there, excluding everyone else from it. Flaming, in role-playing includes excessive OoC posting, keying in on one of multiple targets simply because of a fight outside the forums, excessive cursing and gore, and anything else that disrupts the flow of the board.
5. Keep profanity to a minimum. I understand, especially people with rude, crude, characters, that things come out in your character's dialogue, but keep it down. Acceptable words include the following: Damn and hell. Any other profanity will be edited off, and if you continue to use it, I will put you on a RP probation, and will moderate your posts much more closely from then on.
6. Respect the other members. Please, even if you don't like another, show them respect, especially in an RP battle. If you don't like another person, don't godmode to try and humiliate them, and if they are the better RP'er, accept defeat when it comes. The disrespect of dragging a fight out puts yourself and the other in a bad position, because it makes the thread become trash.
7. No completely OoC posts. If you're going to post in a location, quest, or fighters arcade match, you should have some other reason to post there besides talking. Keep casual convorsation ((that is out of character)) in the General Talk, not in our RP's.
8. New Rule- Since death is now a possibility, it is unlawful to slay another character without just cause. Reprecussions will be made. Especially if said death is caused as a direct defiance of rule 4.
9. New Rule- Death is irreversable. Reviving a character is a matter of luck, and entering the right Quest. Some Quests may or may not have a way to revive a character, though it is a rare occurance.
Another note, make sure that if you enter a Quest that you keep up with what's going on. If you are incapable for some reason to get on the forums, give another person the right to control your character.
Absolutely no Godgaming, Powergaming, Godmodding, Godmoding, etc. is permitted. Do not have one hit kill moves, instant dodges, super potions, uber guard, or extended control skills for your character.
Double posting is frowned upon and is not acceptable. I'll let you slip a once or twice before taking some type of action about it. Double posting just makes things a bit more confusing in the forums. It also is a way to cheat the post count. Please, once again, keep from double posting.
If, for some reason, you have a complaint about another character, take it up with me, not them. Complaining to me will result much better for yourself, if it's a valid complaint, than if you took it up with the other person. This leads to flaming, which if bad enough, could get you on probation of sorts.
